Note: Skate Park Rules & Regulations
1. The City of Port Orange reserves the right to restrict entry to the facility and ask individuals to leave the park if these guidelines are not followed or unsafe behavior is observed.
2. Use of the park is at your own risk (FL Statute 316.0085). Know your own abilities and limits.
3. Skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters, and in-line skates are allowed in the park. NO motorized vehicles at any time.
4. When the REC is open, all riders must check-in at the REC front desk prior to entering the park. During specific hours, the gate to the park may be opened when the REC is closed, at which time the park is open to use without checking in.
5. Participants who are caught in the Skate Park after hours or who do not check in when the REC is open, will be asked to leave, suspended, or even trespassed based on the number of violations or the severity of the offense.
6. The Skate Park will be closed at dusk, even during normal REC hours.
7. All minor riders are recommended to wear an ANSI-approved helmet with securely fastened chinstrap. All users are strongly recommended to wear helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Close-toed shoes are required.
8. Parental supervision is strongly recommended for riders aged 12 and under and adult supervision is required for those aged 7 and under.
9. No fighting of any kind or any type of physical contact with another person.
10. Vandalism, graffiti, or other types of damage to the facility will result in suspension. The duration of the suspension will be based on the severity of the damage.
11. Ask approval from staff before putting down any wax.
12. Do not proceed down ramps until it is clear of other riders.
13. No skating or riding when wet, raining, lightning (within 10 miles) or during maintenance periods.
14. No skating on the sidewalks, streets, and parking areas adjacent to the park.
15. No skating on park structures not specifically designed for that purpose.
16. Any music played must be appropriate for all ages and not too loud.
17. No animals allowed in the skate park and absolutely no alcohol, smoking/vaping, drugs, or profanity allowed.
18. No climbing or jumping the fences.
